Evan Lake...the waterman! Man I remember that name on the air back in the late 80s and early 90s when I lived in Utah. Go Evan! I know exactly what you mean. Not that I have the pipes you do or the big market experience, but the same reasons you enjoy Vernal, I enjoy Evanston. I play what I want, no formatted playlist. I'm my own MD and PD and my little morning show sounds okay. And I'm on the AM! Our FM is just like that. We have some live time, some satellite time otherwise. I think we sound pretty good and all of us up here enjoy the wonderful freedom that we have of not having to suckle the corporate tittie. This small-town radio stuff is great! By the way, I still use a few carts, and the music is for the most part on CD with very little in our SmartCaster automation computers. I hope and pray everyday that ClearChannel and all the other corporate wah-hoos keep their dirty fingers outta here. We're doin' just fine without 'em!
