Yes, it's expensive. BUT, that's why KSL would be perfect for it. (KSL2 maybe.) They already have all these packages done, since they use them on KSL already. Why not recycle them and just run them over and over once an hour. That's very little in the way of incremental cost. With today's digital technology, it wouldn't even be like you'd have to actually produce the show more than once every three or four hours, much like what Headline News on TV does overnights. As an alternative, if Bonneville doesn't want to, it shouldn't be too much to rework the existing news reports from TV (2, 4, 13) to be 'radio-friendly' if they wanted to.

As for the amount of news, KSL finds enough stuff to fill the Scott and Maria show in afternoons just fine. If the FCC lifts the ownership caps, maybe someone can buy KIQ at a firesale price and make a go of it.
