It's always made sense to me. Marathon builds up stations from nothing, and then sells them to other groups.

I could see Power and U92, now that they actually turn over a profit, get sold to Simmons. Hey, they LMA 105.1, for pete's sake! I'll bet they'll eventually buy it.

This will allow Marathon a bit of cash to work on their 106.1 venture, as well as 102.3 and 103.9, and that whole "big move" thing where practically all non-metro station will change frequency, or at least 6 or 7 stations.
