First Data is integrating BASE24 Remote Banking with its existing card processing platform to offer BPay bill payment services to clients in Australia. BPay is an extension of the telephone-based bill payment products and services First Data has provided its clients since 1991. Within five years, First Data estimates the system will process 30 million transactions annually. The remote banking application also offers First Data the ability to interface with a variety of home banking front-end systems including interactive voice response units (IVRs) and Internet banking platforms.
