As for the other question, I'm not sure what song you're talking about so I can only say that Beastie Boys WERE hardcore/punk way back in the early 80's. The current drummer for Luscious Jackson (Who is signed on Grand Royal) WAS the drummer for the Beastie Boys before they started to swing their genre toward rap.
