Subject: Halfords Motorbike Oil

Hi,

I'm looking at using Halford's own brand of 10W40 part synthetic 4-stroke motorcycle oil and would like to know if anyone has experience of using this in their ZZR1100? The main attraction is cost (approx half price of the Shells, Castrols etc).

It meets API SL and ACEA A3 specs. However, it doesn't mention JASO compliance which I believe is the one to watch for with wet clutches.

I asked a Halford guy in store who confirmed their own-branded oil is in fact produced by comma oils and they seem to be well known.

Cheers.
Matt.
