but i think what he said about human nature is correct. Our emotions are governed by our ID. And then going on that, what i've learned in child development that acording to Erik Eriksen each of a child's early stages has its polarities. from birth to 1.5 years old we have the stage of trust vs. mistrust. 1.5- 3 yrs we have autonomy vs. shame and doubt. 3-6 years we learn initiative vs. guilt. Being sucidal is something that religion has infulence over, but does not contrl. I think it goes back to the time persion between birth and 6 years old.
think before you want a kid. i personally think it just hurts more to have a kid grow up with you and then they go to stanford and kill themselves. If you think about this in physics terms, you still end up with a zero but just a lot more hurt.
