Wow, you know how you hear about how horrible certain movies are and you think it just can't be that bad. Well I am convinced now. That was about one of the most sucktastic movies I've ever had the displeasure of sitting through. Jackman couldn't be any more wooden in his performance if he tried. The story is absolutely absurd, and there is a lot of leeway for absurdity in films about vampires, werewolves, and frankenstein. The female lead (who's name I can't remember) could be hot, if she were not so awfully boring. And to simply say that 3/4 of the film is so dark that I couldn't always figure out what was happening would be an understatement. There's a huge difference between using darkness to set up scares or emotion and just being dark for frustration's sake. That's OK though. I can't imagine anything interesting was going on in the darkness, as pretty much everything I could see was mind-numbingly bad.
