Basically, you can dissect anything. Most of the time I won't. For instance, do I question the temporal mechanics of the Back to the Future trilogy? Do I complain that Clint Eastwood's character in The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is labeled The Good, but is probably the baddest of the three? Do I question whether the entire story of The Usual Suspects is utter bullshit because it's told by a liar?

No. Because these stories - and so many more - are generally consistent with the universes that have been created to sustain them.

That's what any story (including wrestling) does: it creates its own universe, it's own laws and rules about how things work. I.e. In First Blood Rambbo disposes of the cops pursuing him using believable means - essentially guerilla warfare. You can believe he'd take out an entire group of cops. But in Rambo II and even more so in Rambo III, suddenly he just stands and delivers, Rambo shooting straight, the enemy completely inept. There, Rambo's broken the laws of his own universe.

And that's when I have a problem. You adhere by the laws of the universe you've created - fine. You don't (and this was the problem with the prequels, and modern-day wrestling) and you're open to dissection.
