You probably won't believe me, but then again, knowing this show, and how awesome it is, you might...

At the time the first season began, I was in University, and working nights to pay tuition, so I could not watch it.

I asked for the 1st season on DVD so I could see if I liked it. I got it for christmas 3 years ago, and sat down to watch the 1st episode, and didn't move for about 6 hours...I was in shock. It is the greatest show ever, and I really mean that. It is my favourite show of all time.

Ever since, I have received the DVD of each season for christmas, and watch it throughout the weeks following the holidays. I NEVER watch the show on TV, because I cannot deal with the fact that you are left with such cliffhangers at the end of the episodes. So I ignore it during the season and the watch the DVD, and I enjoy it so much more that way.

Last season, I watched the entire season in 4 days between christmas and new years. It is sad, but great at the same time. It is sad to admit I had nothing better to do, but my wife and I loved every minute of it.

Every year after I receive it as a christmas gift, we watch it first, then I give it to my mother, and she watches it. It then goes through a cycle that includes my in-laws, the brother-in-law and his family, my best friend, and then my brother. I give it away in January, and usually get it back in May. My DVD sets of 24 get more Air Miles than I do. They go from Toronto, to Maine to New Brunswick and back. This year it may even get to Prague, since a friend of mine wants to see it, and he just moved there. Luckily he has a North American DVD player so he can play it, otherwise it would not be compatible.

Pretty sad isn't. It's one of those guilty pleasures though, that started out as just mine, and now it has become a huge family tradition that everyone looks forward to. I think it is hilarious.

It's not hard to ignore the new episodes on Fox, it is on against Monday Night Raw, and as many of us in here are, I am a wrestling fan, so that makes it a lot easier not to watch.
