and don't mind it. It's not as finely crafted as Friends, but it's not "Boston Public" or "Coupling" either.

The character of Joey is still a lovable goofball. He's less dense, but still has his moments. He lives with his brainy nephew, whom I like. He's a college-age nerd who has trouble with the ladies, almost a polar opposite of Joey, which makes for a good dynamic between the two and leads to some easy jokes. Drea de Matteo is Joey's sister and she might not be the prettiest girl in the world, but she is hot. Just something about her. She's actually pretty funny and steals a lot of scenes. There's a blonde neighbor who's a lawyer who is part of Joey's running crew, but she's pretty bland; neither here nor there. Recently, Jennifer Coolidge (Stifler's mom from American Pie) has been added to the weekly cast as Joey's agent. She's the typical L.A. agent, but is given a lot of the best lines.

If someone asked me, I would recommend the show. What are you going to watch instead, The O.C.?
