Subject: Robots

From the creators of Shark Tale (which I didn't like), comes Robots. Pretty good, but nothing special. Visually stunning with some funny moments, the movie has many homages of other films that are probably over the target audience's heads. The story is O.K. and the movie seemed to recruit its voice talents before it actually had roles for them. There are many famous voices in this movie with not enough parts for all of them. You might as well have had a no-name for the Halle Berry part. Jay Leno is relegated to a talking fire hydrant with about 2 lines. Now that I think about it though, that sounds about right.

The movie is cool to look at and Robin Williams readjusts his Genie to provide some comic relief, so for the most part, it's not that bad.

Check it out on DVD, if you are so inclined.
