If he was doing a simple remake of the movie Burton might not be the man for the job, but for the book I think he's perfect. He seems to have the same knack Dahl had for making things darkly amusing (even for us grown folk) while still being kid friendly (hey, all kids need a few scars ;)

I'll admit I wasn't keen on a remake when I first heard about it, but with Burton and Depp and it being more a new adaptation than a remake I can't wait. I hope it's not a musical.
