The HOA board simply doesn't want any child hit by a car while playing in the street - that's really the main issue. we have heard that the school buses routinely hit the basketball hoops while driving through the area, and that really was my only other concern. As far as I also understand - there is nothing wrong with gathering information on programs and technology, but expenses like that must be voted upon by the home owners, the board doesn't have the power (nor do we want it) to run with something like that. The board has been working on a letter to remind home owners of the rules included in the covenants. We are not targeting portable basketball hoop owners - just reminding everyone about the rules about our community. I believe we decided that those letters will be going out in the mailing with the notice for the yearly HOA meeting. Sean - I hope you can get past the personal attacks, but I don't expect it.
