Date Posted: Thu, Feb 26 2009, 14:59:55 In reply to: anonymous 's message, "What about the rest?" on Tue, Feb 24 2009, 20:55:08 I truly hope that the board addresses all covenants not being followed not just the two of these. Issues with covenant violations on recreation equipment, garbage cans, landscaping, satellite dishes, etc. Perhaps these two are the ones that the association gets the most complaints about so they are trying to address these first. But as I jog through the neighborhood there are many issues that need to be cleaned up. I am just fearful that they board will knuckle under to those complainers and the rest of us will suffer. If you start changing things now to become more relax, when do you stop and go back. It is far more difficult to try to bring a neighborhood back then it is to keep it up. I personally would like to see most people’s bushes trimmed many of them are over-grown. As a sports freak myself, I still don’t like seeing the basketball goals out year round in the street or on the drive ways. I think they should be stored properly when not in use that is why they are portable. Not to mention we have some with broken backboards, rust all over them, supports that are bent or missing. All of these things just don't look nice and are potential hazards. Plus if you run/walk/jog you have to go around them all over the subdivision. As far as what the other board members have or have not done in the past. It appears this new board seems to be trying to do more and look at the big picture. They may explore things only to find out they won’t work, but if they don’t look into things how will we ever know if we can have better things, or be offered better services. I don’t think it ever hurts to gather information and see if it can benefit the group at large. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
