This letter will put them on notice. I may even sent a notarized copy to them, return receipt requested, so they have no wiggle room. Actually, I don't think the letter is done. I can make and argument that based on Kelo vs New London the city has a real and continuing interest in all property, whether publicly or privately held, and as such it not only has the right, but it has the responsibility to ensure that land is not devalued without its prior approval. All tax payers in this city, and in the county, have an interest in the value of other properties if Kelo vs New London holds. So even the people in that live in Wilson County, but don't live in WIlloughby Station logically have an interest in what happens to our Amenities.
