In 1969 and 1970 I studied acting under Miss Tuttle. Private lessons were given in her apartment, and I learned quickly that she had a reputation of getting newcomers up to speed quickly. In some sessions I read with other newcomers to acting like the boxer Floyd Patterson and olympic pole vaulter Bob Seegran. Her extensive radio training was evident. I remember that she had quite a lot of study aids for students to read and develope. In my case, she supplied reading material to help me lose my Texas accent. Wonder what happened to her library? In my case she used to schedule my session in the hour just before her TV series, JULIA. We would sometimes sit and watch the show afterward. Quite a lady...quite a talent.
