Greg, I wonder whether you have really thought this through? The PC Party under the leadership of David Orchard would never win a general election. First of all the public would know that David's policies are not PC policies and secondly David's supporters mostly come from the ranks of the NDP, in BC anyway. I would think the same goes for Alberta, Ontario and Saskatchewan. Therefore, these people do not vote PC in a general election. This means you are setting yourself up for a loose/loose situation. The trick therefore, is to make sure that David Orchard does not become leader of the Progressive Conservative Party but have him as a policy advisor (maybe an MP). I have discussed this with a number of David's supporters and they all agree with me.
