Wonderfully written essay which can be summed up as the old "Sadaam is a really, really bad man" agrument again.
Just a little history might be useful here. Sadaam was put in place by the CIA which conforms to the very old U.S. policy of "He may be an SOB, but he's OUR SOB (FDR re: Somoza of Nicaragua).Sadaam was suckertrapped into invading Kuwait...he even asked permission of the U.S. Envoy April Glaspie and was told the U.S. didn't care. The reason he was miffed was that the Kuwaitis had been slant-drilling
into Iraq's oil fields using a junior oil cmpany called Harken Energy...which was the Shrub's very own. What an amazing coincidence! That little detail is seldom recalled. As a flouter of international law and sundry treaties, the prize has to go to the U.S. itself, although Israel may be a close runner-up.

Just how principled is it to support the bombing (48 hours of Shock and Awe promised) of a civilian population, half of which are under the age of 15.
I bet Mr McKay even believes depleted uranium is good for us. It's amazing what one can rationalize when one sees an opportunity for fame and fortune!
