His writing style has, very clearly, been altered since he first starting posting. I'm not ready to say it's ari, though I had noticed the similarities even before Shannie brought them up--not ruling him out though either. The fact that he left for another trip just as Mitch came in is a bit Clark Kentish. The fact that their time overlap somewhat overcomes Clark's biggest problem. It's also not the first time Ari has created a new personna. I know this sounds funny, but I ask it in all seriousness: Think ari's smart enough to act to dumb? Whoever it is, it's gotta be someone with a lot of time on their hands (and by the way, school started up again here. :-)) That limits the possibilities. In all honesty, I don't really think it takes that many smarts to create a new identity and be a jackass. The way that a lot of Mitch's posts are very incoherent while others are pretty well articulated, seems to indicate to me that it's someone trying really hard to change their writing style to really throw everyone off. Yes Kevin...Kimmy and I were just talking about the fact that it's awfully coincidental that Ari just happened to post that he 'won't be around for awhile'.......seems like he's trying just a little too hard to make us think he's not, um, around. Here's what I think. Ari has a laptop.....as exciting as his trek across America is, all the driving is getting a little tiresome. And with gas prices as high as they are, and him not even working to bring in an income, I can't see him doing as much travelling as he might lead us to believe. Who could afford it now? So...I think he spends more time "parked" (be it at his grandmother's, friend's place, hostel, hotel, etc)......and a tourist can only play tourist for so long........so he gets bored, wants a few laughs, is probably a little lonely......so what better way to entertain himself and pass the many 'free' hours he has in a day than create a new personna and have some laughs at DP'ers expense? Ari's a little sh*tdisturber.....and I can see him just letting loose and having some 'fun'......but of course he knows he couldn't get away with it as "Ari".... In one of the links I posted above (DP posts), Ari even calls Mitch "Mitchy".....now that's just plain weird. S

In the "circumcision thread"......both Ari and Mitch are flingin' off the URL's/links to circumcision info/sites.........coincidence? I don't know. Oh, and in that thread, Ari posts to Mitch that he 'respectfully disagrees' with him....um, since when is Ari so POLITE when disagreeing with someone? I mean, not saying Ari is ever 'mean' but he's usually not sweet and sugary like that, no? Lastly....notice how whenever Ari gets called onto the carpet by anyone on DP, he never (rarely) becomes riled......never seems to lose his temper, responds very passively, calmly..........well Mitch does the same thing, right? Other news is Earthlink raised $2 a month and a bunch of D/Chrysler vehicles got called back for seatbelts. They are going to cover on MSNBC, Dubbya's drop in the polls tonight. I think his job approval, as president is the lowest for a President in more than 5 years!! Oh well, 43 months and counting!!!* Who does this sound like to you?
