In reply to: Pam 's message, "Anyone else have a bread machine?" on 22:37:22 10/16/02 Wed

I'm like you in that I like using mine more in the colder months. For me it's because we are inside more whereas in the summer months we are out of doors constantly.

I think ours makes pizza dough too but I haven't tried that yet. I had a tough time getting the bread to turn out like bread..LOL

What's funny is that I was resistent to using it in the beginning. In his attempt to convince me that the machine does make 'real' bread John bet me to see who could make better bread - him with the machine or me by hand. Making bread by hand is a great deal of work but it works your muscles, heh heh. The kids liked mine better but after seeing how easy the machine is to use I decided to get with technology. Of course my upper arms aren't as firm these days either..LOL

I have to get to my pretend job. You hens have a great weekend. John and I are off today for a four day concrete convention complete with gala evenings. Sounds like an oxymoron but it will be fun to get away just the two of us.

I've wanted one but it just hasn't been a huge priority. We don't really eat alot of bread and if we do, it's always 100% whole wheat and I've yet to taste a decent whole wheat bread come out of one. They always seem too dry.

One day I'll get one... and a deep fryer! Always wanted one of those as well! LOL

'lil red ;-)
