Have not seen "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." My mom liked it, though.

Yep, I will miss Jesse Ventura. He was a loose cannon, but told a lot of things like they are.

Have you started watching America's best sport, baseball again? :-)

Best sport? The only one that doesn't ban andro and steroids? A bit. I barely know any players. When they mention someone's last name and you think it's the guy's father that they are talking about, you know you've been away awhile.

Any advice on how to pay for extensive dental work, when you don't have dental insurance, without going into debt for forty years? sigh. - yipe. Take a job just for the coverage.

What other newer flicks do you recommend? It's always enjoyable to talk to you about movies. :-) - Thanks. I have seen nothing lately. This was the first year I've had access to all the NHL and NBA playoff games while being single, and I was like a kid in a candy store. And I really like both teams that won, so my interest never waned. Since I've been in Austin, the only theater films I've seen were Amelie (wonderful) and Fellowship of the Ring (okay).

You like the Lakers? You mean you weren't loyal to the team of your home state? :-)
Haven't caught Amelie yet, but it has come highly recommended before.

I was a Nets fan when Larry Brown was the coach and when Drazen Petrovic played, but didn't care for them at other times - even when Dr. J played for them. And I've never been much of a fan of Jason Kidd.

But I've always loved the Lakers, from Goodrich, West, Wilt, and Baylor, through Magic, Rambis, Wilkes, and McAdoo to Kobe, Shaq, and Horry.

What did you think of the NBA draft, Glenn?

Caron Butler went to Miami. I try to keep up with where all the Uconn stars go. Here in DC, Jeffries of Indiana was a good pick up.

I bought Amelie and the instant I got out of the store I thought to check something I should have checked before. The were no English subtitles. So I took it back.

There weren't any Korean subtitles either? :-)

The options were Korean subtitles on/Korean subtitles off. I have to be careful with non-English films here.

How fluent is your Korean?

Not enough that I could understand movies. Just really basic conversation and requests, but I get very flustered because Koreans are not very polite to people trying to use their language.

Also, it's kind of a given here than foreigners with Korean spouses tend to be *less* advanced because we don't need to use the language as much as those who are here by themselves. :-)
