Subject: strange experiment

I was shaving my legs and ran out of shaving gel after I finished my left leg. I didn't want to get out of the shower to search for the spare can of gel, so I decided to try hair conditioner. To my surprise, the right leg had a closer smoother shave than the left.

I decided to repeat the experiment again today, switching the legs I used the conditioner on, and I got the same results. I used drugstore brand conditioner, so I guess any kind will work.

I can't believe that I posted something so girly *G*, but this was too good not to pass on.

Dana

So, I'll have to see this first hand as they say. And don't go crazy with this hair remover. LOL

shaving cream is merely a way to keep the moisture against the skin, lift the hair a bit by getting under it, and help carry off the trimmed hair. You could shave with peanut butter.

I may be kinky, but I never tried it, only heard it. I wouldn't use chunky, tho.

Great idea! I can see how that would work even better than soap. Funny what we can come up with on the spur of makeshifting.

I never tried the conditioner, but plain old shampoo works great too! It's really slick, and you get a great shave with it.

I've never used conditioner, but I have used an exfoliating body scrub and it works great.

Try peanut butter on one leg and jelly on the other. Perhaps you'll want some meat in between? :-)

I'll have to give this one a try - are you sure it wasn't that it just made any hair softer so you couldn't feel it? LOL

Seriously though, it does seem logical in many ways. I know that when I've used body lotion as a substitute for shaving cream it's given me a smoother, closer shave too. Has anybody tried that new Shave Minimizing body lotion? I think Jergens makes it....it suppposed to make you have to shave less often. I almost bought some yesterday.

I bought this stuff about a month ago. I can't really say that I have less hair on my legs, but it does make my legs softer and smoother than any other lotion I have ever used. It has something called herbal silk somethingorother. I love it and I will continue buying it even if it doesn't do what it says it will. :-)

Will it grow back with split ends?
