Subject: The soundtracks of your life Author: Dana [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 10:30:36 07/21/01 Sat Music is evocative. Starting in early childhood certain songs would bring back strong memories of people, places, or events in my life. If I made a cd of all these songs it would provide the soundtrack of my life. Allstar by Smashmouth will always remind me of the summer of 1999. That song was always playing on the radio that summer, and seemed a fitting theme song for that time. June 2000 through June 2001 will always be remembered with Everybody Knows by Leonard Cohen. I played that song daily during this period, and it seemed to sum up my feelings much of this time. Instead of making me feel sadder, this song gave me a strange sense of hope. The song for the summer of 2001 is Blue Skies for Everyone by Bob Schneider. It's a great reminder for me, and sums up my feelings at the present.
