Ah..Brian...

I understand exactly what you mean. That "charge" in the beginning is wonderful. And mostly that "charge" is you connecting with your muse and writing. It has little to do with that site beyond giving you a venue to display your writing. I'm glad to hear that you sticking with your writing and it matters MUCH MUCH more than if you stick with that site.

About the friend's guilt trip...I imagine that they will just miss you and don't mean to make you feel bad. I remember how I felt about that site and the people I knew there..until M and I started up this web site I felt disconnected and sad because I missed people I had become friends with there. Luckily with the web there are always ways to stay in touch. My feeling is that if you REALLY feel like leaving that site, you should. always do what feels right for you..your friend will understand..

My god, I sound like DEAR ABBY!!!

I dream of a place where writers like you (and all of us) get encouragement and helpful reviews and not just empty reviews or criticism.....I would love if this site could be developed more to be that....maybe someday. Until then, accept my hug and know you can come here anytime you want to vent!!!

:)
