Subject: Mr. Johnson ( I used my real name)

Well I wish I had the time I used to have but I don't. If there was thing I did really enjoy was getting the track ready and keeping as good as I could thru the nite. But after the many years of "Pitching in" and seeing one groups of thugs come in and run the place as if it was there very own club & track for their own personal enjoyment. Then struggling with them at every turn the year I was president. I finally forced thier death grip off of the track and with the help of Tom Via we got the track refinanced on it's own so No Ones name was on the ownership of this track except the club it"s self.
We held the Easterns that year. Alot of hard work from alot of club members paid off and We left office at the end of our term with if memory serves me around $28,000
in the bank. When I came back to work the track a couple years later I found another group who I felt (and I might add I was not alone) was running the place as if it was thier own. I recived pressure from this group as to how the track was to be prepared. They were always complaining
wanting a dry slick 1 grove track.....well thats wonderful if you always seam to start toward the front and you go backward on a moist track. Not to mention the fact that a one lane track will cause more recks and damage because everyone is stuck nose to tail on the pole. So I desided it was time for others get the club back to the members, I fought that battle once. As far as Eric Edwards you not find a better person I hope everyone pulls with him not against him. Who knows I may try to show up some too. I do miss the friends out there.
Best of Luck This Year.
Garry
