Good morning again, Sweet Ladies! My heart's desire and prayer this morning is that my FATHER would be able to use my life to gain glory for HIMSELF. I have come this morning and have asked HIM to take my heart and make it HIS again today. I have asked for a fresh new commitment to be all that HE intends me to be TODAY. Have you come to HIM this morning and offered HIM your heart and your life to do with as HE sees fit? Would you stop right now and give HIM that? Would you invite HIM now, before we go on, to have complete access to every area of your heart? HE has a plan, HE wants to use your life for HIS own good and glory, but I wonder if you will allow HIM that today? I want to look at a couple of verses in Exodus 14 again this morning, and then I have a question that the FATHER asked my heart this morning. Let's look into the WORD...this is the place where HE meets us and where HE will change our lives for HIS GLORY!
V. 25 HE (GOD) made the wheels of their chariots come off so that they had difficulty driving. And the Egyptians said, "Let's get away from the Israelites! The LORD is fighting for them against Egypt."
Did you notice that they called HIM the LORD? When folks come against you and bring you hard times, and difficult circumstances seem to overwhelm your life, do those around you see your GOD as the LORD? This is a critical point to make sure we get from this chapter. Ladies, DOES YOUR LIFE SAY LOUD AND CLEAR THAT HE IS LORD. Let's look back at a couple of other verses in this chapter.
Verse 4: And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he will pursue them. But I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, AND THE EGYPTIANS WILL KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD.
Verse 18: The Egyptians WILL KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD when I gain glory through Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen.
I wonder this morning, are you facing a difficult situation in your life? Are you having a hard time and you can't seem to make it make sense? Have you prayed and cried and asked the FATHER to deliver you, and yet still you are in the middle of terribly hard time? I wonder if you would stop fighting and allow HIM to GLORIFY HIMSELF through that difficulty. Please know that I am NOT suggesting that this is easy, BUT I am suggesting that you will not walk alone. You see, when the FATHER leads you through the hard times in your life HE GOES WITH YOU! Look at verse 19. Then the angel of GOD, who had been traveling in front of Israel's army, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud also moved from in front and stood behind them, coming between
KNOW that HE has NOT abandoned you to cross the sea of sorrow and difficulty on your own. HE the armies of Egypt and Israel.
KNOW that GOD is walking this road with you. may have moved from the front to the back, but Ma'am, HE IS WITH YOU. Your GOD is NOT A LIAR, HE NEVER LEAVES YOU. I love that the verse points out that GOD got between Israel and her enemy. I love the truth of this. GOD gets between us and those that would cause us harm. Ma'am, HE does not allow you to go through difficulty that HE does not go with you. THAT IS SO COOL!
I will acknowledge this morning that you may be in a hard place, perhaps harder than anything you have faced before, but in that difficult place you find yourself have you stopped and thanked your FATHER for being in the middle of the sea with you? I believe with all of my heart that if you will allow HIM to use your hard time to bring HIMSELF GREAT GLORY you will look back on this time and say: I would not trade that storm for the things that GOD taught me during the storm. You see, it is in the storms of our life that we learn just how strong our FATHER is. It is when the seas are rough and the waves are so big that we can't bear to look that the FATHER comes and wraps HIMSELF around us and takes us through the storm. Look again at the verse we just saw. HE moved from the front to the back...HE went all the way around them! THAT, MY FRIENDS, IS COOL!
You have a very blessed day. Know that I am praying for you! I am asking GOD to make you ever aware of HIS PRESENCE in your life today. Will you trust HIM? Will you allow HIM to use your difficulty to gain GREAT GLORY for HIMSELF.
FATHER, mold our hearts to be who and what YOU desire of us. May I be willing to walk through any sea, any sorrow, any difficulty in order than YOUR NAME would be lifted high! Exalt YOURSELF today! FATHER, grow our hearts and teach us to bow our knees in submission to the hard times so that YOU would be able to draw others to YOURSELF because they see YOUR MIGHTY HAND working in our lives! YOU are so good! I love you JESUS!
