I was overwhelmed. >I stopped and I said, "FATHER, obedience should be my >natural response to all that YOU have done in my heart >and life. I should be obedient simply because I am >grateful for what YOU have done in my life. I should >be obedient because YOU CHOSE TO REDEEM my life." >That is true ladies. We should be living in obedience >simply out of a heart of gratitude to the FATHER for >all that HE has done and continues to do in our lives, >BUT...and this is huge, HE promises that if we will be >obedient HE WILL LAVISH HIS BLESSINGS ON OUR LIFE. Sometimes I >want to say, "but FATHER can't we just do this thing >in one fell swoop?" (BIG SMILE) Of course the answer >is no...if we could HE wouldn't be doing it little by >little. I think perhaps the point of little by little >is that we truly could not handle any more than a >little bit at a time. Sometimes, when I find myself >struggling, I wonder at why it comes when it does.
