I need some help. I suffer with bipolar disorder and anxiety disorder. I was diagnosed 5+ years ago and tried meds. that messed me up worse than I was without so I gave up on them, however I still can't function in normal society for 30 concequtive days or 4 consequtive weeks. I am a wife and a mother of 3 and it seems my affiction has cost our family decent life. My working outside the home seems impossible, my husband can't retain a job because he often times needs to take care of our kids or me or both when I slip into my deep despessions. He has even lost interviews because of past job references being poor. He has been out of work for a year and a half and we are completely out of money and credit and can't pay our mortgage. I feel at fault and helpless. We are applying for short term assistance from area programs, but if that comes through it is only temporary and we need so help finding a way to support our selves long term. I don't seem to have enough recent working credits to qualify for disability insurance and i really don't know what else to do. If you have any information that might help us I would appreciate it very much.
