Good Morning y'all. My heart is struggling this morning and so I have come to the place where I know that GOD will answer my heart's cry...I have come and taken a seat at HIS feet and have asked HIM to pour HIS WORD into my heart this morning....FATHER, LET ME SEE WHAT IT IS THAT YOU WOULD HAVE ME SEE TODAY.
I went to bed last night flipping through the pages of Isaiah....I was looking for something specific, but GOD had something else for me to find. When I awoke this morning I went back to Isaiah and then I moved over the Psalms...I want to share a few verses with you this morning and then I am going to share a couple of thoughts.
Before I do I want you to understand that I am so sure of the message that GOD has written on my heart this morning. Ma'am....whatever you face today HE HAS A WORD FOR YOU....whatever the hurt or the heartache HE HAS A WORD FOR YOU. When you are struggling and hurting do you come and sit in the only seat where HE CAN SPEAK TO YOUR HEART? You will find that seat open and waiting at the feet of JESUS.

Psalm 81:8-18 "Hear, O MY people, and I will admonish you; O Israel, if you would listen to ME! Let there be no strange god among you; Nor shall you worship any foreign god. I, the LORD, AM YOUR GOD, who brought you up from the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide and I will fill it. BUT MY PEOPLE DID NOT LISTEN TO MY VOICE, AND ISRAEL DID NOT OBEY ME. So I gave them over to the stubbornness of their heart, to walk in their own devices. O THAT MY PEOPLE WOULD LISTEN TO ME, THAT ISRAEL WOULD WALK IN MY WAYS! I would quickly sudbue their enemies and turn MY hand against their adversaires. Those who hate the LORD would pretend obedience to HIM, and their time of punishment would be forever. BUT I WOULD FEED YOU WITH THE FINEST OF WHEAT, AND WITH HONEY FROM THE ROCK I WOULD SATISFY YOU.
For the sake of time I am not going to type out Isaiah 30:12-17, but the message is similar...in fact, the entire chapter of Isaiah 30 would be good to read if you would take a few minutes.
My heart reads the above verses and it causes me to hurt...We allow ourselves to suffer so much, unnecessarily, because WE ARE STUBBORN AND HARD-HEARTED. Calvary did not occur in order to give us a warm fuzzy feeling....Ladies, the point of Calvary was to make us DIFFERENT PEOPLE. How in the world can we claim to be different...claim to be the people of GOD...claim to love HIM....AND YET WE REFUSE TO LISTEN TO HIM. We refuse to obey HIM....we want to remain as close to the world as we can be...we want to hold onto old alliances...we don't want things that seem difficult. Can I remind you this morning that the LORD JESUS walked the difficult road BECAUSE IT WAS THE WAY THAT IT HAD TO BE. The Bible is very clear ALL THROUGHOUT that if we would obey the voice of GOD we would be filled and satisfied beyond what we could ever need, BUT WE DON'T DO IT. I don't understand...I really don't. GOD the FATHER has so much for us and we continue to exist on the minimal diet of what another will spoon feed us...and if we don't like that, we spit it out and get mad and walk away....
AND THE WORD OF GOD TELLS US THAT WHILE IT WAS NEVER WHAT HE INTENDED, HE WILL ALLOW US TO GO OUR OWN WAY.
Does it sound harsh this morning? Remember this today...Calvary was the battle ground where our salvation was won...IT WAS HARSH THAT DAY. JESUS DID THE ONLY THING THAT COULD BE DONE IN ORDER TO MAKE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD POSSIBLE. So I leave you this morning with this final thought: IF YOU WANT TO BE FREE YOU MUST OBEY HIS VOICE....no if's, and's, or but's about it.

FATHER, IT MAKES MY HEART ACHE TO THINK OF THE NEEDLESS STRUGGLES WE ALLOW OURSELVES TO WALK THROUGH BECAUSE WE WON'T JUST LISTEN TO YOU. IT MAKES ME HURT TO KNOW THAT YOU ALLOWED YOUR SON TO SUFFER AND WE ACT AS IF IT WAS NOTHING. O LORD JESUS, FORGIVE US FOR TAKING YOU FOR GRANTED...FORGIVE US FOR TRYING SO HARD TO WALK IN TWO DIFFERENT WORLDS. BREAK US FATHER....DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO DRAW US BACK TO THE PLACE WHERE WE WOULD RATHER DIE THAN WALK IN DISOBEDIENCE AND SIN. THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORD...THANK YOU THAT YOU ALWAYS HAVE A WORD FOR US. THANK YOU THAT WE CAN COME AND SIT AT YOUR FEET AND WE CAN HEAR YOUR VOICE. O GOD, THAT WE WOULD REALIZE THIS AND JUST COME. I LOVE YOU, BUT IT'S NOT ENOUGH...LET ME LOVE YOU MORE.
