Being that the lyrics were written by Darby in one of his notebooks. Sure, bands lose members and go on and they need to keep playing because they are artists/musicans. I am sure a lot of people are really against the band going forward and of course Darby is great and nobody can take his place, but also no one can take Pat's place or Lorna's place. I think Pat is great in the Foo Fighters but he is playing Grohl's music - which is good, but I think that Pat can write some mean tunes in the true old school punk style. Even if they were to use a different name like the original Sophistifuck and Revlon Spam Queens, it might make people happier than trying to use the pen name "the germs" which people equate with an ecstatic experience, it could put fans at ease, but would/should they need to?
