This is a good example of a mother behaving very responsible and diligent in the exercise of her maternal duties. Your mother's task was to oversee your development, including your that of your genitals. As she had a reason to believe that you could suffer from the pathologic condition of phimosis, it was prudent of her to consult an adult that had knowledge in this field. I believe that involving a close family member in these issues is a very well considered step, as it should be less shameful for the boy to expose himself fully to a family member. I can only congratulate you, Paolo, that you did not try to uphold your resistance, but accepted the necessary measures of control in front of your aunt, which gave her the opportunity to assess the condition of your foreskin and thus advice your mother on whether a treatment of phimosis was indicated.
