Yep - bits of my liver, a few brain cells (and, of course, my heart - sniff) were left in those fantastic places.

Birmingham was such an amazing place to be at the time. The local pubs put on regular gigs where little, unknown local bands like 'The Beat', 'UB40' and 'Dexy's Midnight Runners' (amongst others) played lol I'd really like to know what happened to some of the other bands who played locally. There was one I particularly liked called 'The Surprises'. They played support for the Beat at the Mercat Cross several times I think - anybody know anything about any of the other bands or am I really showing my age now >;-)?
