I want to understand, but the fact that Riotgrrl aims its music at women only excludes me from completely doing that. If you exclude men from listening to the female perspective, then it is true to say that the male editors of magazines are not gonna feature female bands and give them their due respect. Hence i feel the need for more inclusive female bands not exclusive "women only" bands as the way forward.

This is why i've gone on and on and on about how i think women should directing their music towards men as well, so that we can get educated and so that we can understand. If you look at the distinct lack of female groups around today, then isn't it clear that the Riotgrrl movement hasn't achieved its aim of motivating enough women to use their voice or to play their instruments to garner equality in Punk? Women should just go for it and not give a fuck about men saying they can't do it, and to those who do say they can't, then they should go all out to prove them wrong.

I have and will continue to encourage women to form bands (hence my encouragement of Lux and Amy to start their own band) and i think that if a group of ladies were to start a band here in Hull, then that would serve as a great example for other ladies to follow throughout the region and indeed the rest of the country.

P.S If someone wants to do me a Riotgrrl compilation tape then that would be great. I am being totally serious and not patronising.

P.P.S I've made my position more than clear now. I would like more women in Punk, i believe in equality, i believe in unity not segregation, i believe in educating through music.

P.P.P.S Harry was right about NOFX not being sexist.
