I deserve the brownie points Nigel, its from 'War's No Fairytale' By Discharge, who I love almost as much as GBH. Imagine my excitement when a Discharge back patch came through my letterbox yesterday! :-D
If you hadnt noticed, which I doubt you willve done, Ive been away in France for the past week. It was generally pointless, except I threw up twice in the Eiffel Tower. Beat that for holiday fun, hehe!
My contribution, as much as you looking forward to it, shall be another two Discharge songs, though theres plently to choose from as many of them are about war:

'Why',this song particulary sticks in my mind cos Cals going 'WIIWIIWIIBUUHHWWII!' n its like, oh.

Besides her man she kneels
Holds him tight and begins to cry
Why why why but why
Her loved one's just another piece of meat on the battlefield
Why why why but why
Her cries break out into screams
As she now becomes hysterical with grief
Why why why but why
Her loved one's just another piece of meat on the battlefields
Why why why but why

The other is one of my fave Discharge songs,'Realities of War', maybe because its the first on the tape and I normally only have time to listen to the first track anyway

War is an anthem to me
Realities of war, so disturbing
They declare it and they know too
It grows in fear!
War is an anthem to me
Mutilated corpses and chopped off flesh
They take a bottle of pills
But their dead bones are not to be found, ever
War is an anthem to me

Well, sleep safe, may see some people at the Dropouts gig 2moro lunch but again I doubt it
Al
xXx
