You're right these men and women volunteered and get paid for serving their country. They believe in fighting for our freedom and for their country. I know that i could never do what they do - so i do have a certain amount of respect for them.

However, what is disturbing (because of this TV War) is that the names of soldiers who have been killed or captured are being announced on the news before the soldiers' family have been informed. One woman heard of her son's demise whilst by watching the news - which is incredibly disturbing.

About the Journalists - no doubt they have been pushed into this by their newspaper or television bosses so i don't blame them. Because furthermore they are travelling with the military and so of course are going to be there when the action takes place. Still I turned on my television tonight and the first thing i saw was the two news broadcasters laughing!! i was gobsmacked! The context was that their children were asking them what the difference between bombs and missiles was. I probably missed most of this context, but it was still bizarre seeing BBC newsreaders laughing when presented a News Special on a war.

I hope this damn war ends soon and that the people of Iraq can start to live free and happy lives.
