The first thing he thought was if it was evil, it sure didn't look or act evil but Link didn't judge anything by appearances. So he decided to try a test. Pretending to be surprised when the Nymph tapped him on the shoulder Link dropped the ocarina and sent it rolling under a shelf in the room. "Damn. Just a second I'll get it." He pretended to search under the dresser but be unable to find the instrument, he then reached over and pulled an arrow out of his magic quiver. "Light Arrow." As he spoke the words a light instantly came from the arrowhead, if the Nymph was evil it wouldn't even be able to look at the arrow without retreating back to the closet it came from.
