You know, I found that scene to be rather interesting myself.
One minute he's telling Gwen that she's completely right, should've always listened, yadda yadda yadda, blah blah blah. And then he's on the phone trying to convince Mommy Dearest that Theresa has a side too. Huh?
And isn't that where Ethan gives Gwen that weird look? I didn't pick up on it before 'til Gwen mentioned it... but then I thought back and was like, "Yeah. He did! And his answer is a lie! LIE!" I swear it ws a lie. LOL It was something Ivy said about Theresa, Ethan gives Gwen this weird look, and then he and Ivy continue on with his phone conversation. Then Gwen wants to know why he gave her that strange look, and he comes off with Ivy telling him to do stuff to his barn yard animal or something to that effect. I swear, I don't remember Ivy saying that. :\

Yes, those scenes were quite weird! Well, I'm tripping on the fact that Ethan lied to Gwen about what he and Ivy were talking about. Yes, first he tells Gwen that she's right about Theresa, and then he turns around and defend her to Ivy, and in the same breath makes up something to tell Gwen instead of the truth. It's very very interesting I tell ya.
Then I start thinking about Lindsay's chat telling ppl to write to Passions to pair Theresa and Fox up. (Which btw was said just to plz the ppl she was chatting with) Lindsay must know that nothing will happen between Theresa and Fox if she was telling ppl to write them. She must know that her and Ethan will still be together somehow. Of course that's all right with me becuz I've waited a long time for them to be together without manipulations, and now is the time.

Yes Dee! I knew he lied! That made me raise my eyebrow. I couldn't even believe no one mentioned it. It just goes back to how I view this... Gwen isn't second best, she's just *convient*.
And you're right. Obviously Fox and Theresa aren't going to be together (at least in the long term, there is always the chance in the short term (i.e., Briana & Luth)) or else Lindsay wouldn't be pushing people to write. And of course we all know that no one's going to write in. The average age group that was in her chat probably aren't going to sit down and take the time to write out a letter to JER saying, "I want Rox." anyways.
Also, I agree that it was more like, "If I say this, maybe they won't be upset."

Right Tao! I believe that they will be together on short term (i.e., Briana & Luth). And it couldn't possibly be becuz of Rox fans. And you are so right about them writing in. Especially with Junior prom right around the corner. hehe.

Exactly Tao and Dee... I whole heartedly believe that "Rox" are going to be nothing but a short term item.
Notcing a pattern here... JER has his "destined" couples--Shuis, Gram, Charguel, and ET. It seems to me that for all of them, he's pairing each partner up with someone else for short term. With Shuis, we have Luis with Beth and Sheridan with Antonio. We all know that they'll eventually be back together, so Briana and Luth are short term. For Charguel, they'll push Miguel to Kay and I think, once it comes out that he's not Grace's son, Charity with John. But, we all know that Charguel will eventually be back together. For Gram, it's looking more and more like that Grace will be with David eventually, and that will push Sam to Ivy.. Both pairings again temporary, because Gram will eventually be back together. For ET, Ethan is with Gwen right now, and so Theresa has to be paired with someone for the pattern to continue. Thus, Theresa will be paired with Fox...but only temporarily.
It's all about obstacles.
