Subject: My thoughts are with the family and friends...
In reply to: drbrun0 's message, "OT: Today's Tragedy" on 20:48:21 02/01/03 Sat

My thoughts are with the family and friends of these 7 heros. We don't often enough think about them like that, as you said Dottie and that's a shame. I think we forget just how intelligent, courageous, and strong these people have to be to become astronauts.

It's sad that it takes a tragedy to remind us of these things, as well as telling us that even space travel isn't completely safe. I hope and pray that nasa learns from this tragedy and makes space travel even safer for the next mission.

I don't remember the challenger well - I was only five but in Kindergarten as well - but I know it was extremely sad and took a toll on the space program. I hope this disturbing tragedy turns into a positive effect for the space program.

My thoughts and prayers go out to them too. Such a tragedy and loss.

I hope their families can get through this difficult time because I know it will be hard for them.

And may the 7 hero's rest in peace.
