Subject: The Ethan and Gwen Convo was good except....

Okay, I thought the conversation was pretty good....like Dawn said, Ethan even seemed to have a backbone in this conversation with Gwen, risking his life there to not only disagree about his "true love" Theresa but daring to defend the hussy in the process.

First of all...total agreement here with Ethan. Theresa Crane sucks. Big time. I am with him...where is the girl that was actually enjoyable to watch and cheer on? Where has this bitch come from that now threatens people's jobs, pulls strings and all these other "backbone" deeds?

Kill Theresa Crane pronto...bring back Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald ASAP.

Secondly...do you ever get the feeling that when Gwen talks she proves herself to be nothing more than a giant hypocrite?

"Theresa decieved everyone into believing she was innocent"

And how did Gwen win Ethan back, remind me again?

Wasn't it through decit, manipulation...treachery? Wasn't it with a frameup to get Theresa to take the fall for the email to the tabloid? Wasn't it by lying about Theresa to Ethan?

The whole memory of her conversation with Ivy was telling for a second...but of course, this only proves that Gwen literally doesn't have conscience. She doesn't care, as long as Theresa looks bad, all is good. But truthfully, I wouldn't want Gwen being Theresa's helper to be saved...that's all I need, Saint Wannabe coming off looking like some sort of martyr.

But what struck me as odd in the conversation was the whole last scene....where Ethan goes from actually showing character development into Pod Man once again.

Let the Theresa bashing begin....

She's a loser
She's selfish
She's a lemming
She farts in her sleep
She pushed your mother to her death
Oh, and she's not me.

Ethan who was great a moment ago now looks like he forgot where he placed his tongue because he can't speak.

Bashing Round two--

She's a devil
Evil incarnate.
Cheap
A whore
Oh....and she drools when she brushes her teeth.

Again, though Ethan looks at her like she's going to take flight, he still does nothing.

Gwen is not a manipulator and shoots from the hip, or wasn't that what's been quoted? Yeah, right. Gwen has manipulating Ethan down to a fine science.

But the best line....

"Sweetheart, Theresa is going to go to prison for a very long time for attempted murder....and she'll finally be out of our lives! (Famous last words of a fool). We can raise our baby in a loving and nurturing home...and not in a home filled with deception and pain."

Okay...Ethan's proper reaction would have been a giant excuse me while I laugh myself sick moment...

However what do you get?

Literally it's like Ethan has emerged from a fog and shrugs his shoulders and goes...

"Okay."

Uh what?

Ethan definately has selective amnesia. He can't remember anything anymore.

I still say JER is setting Ethan up for a fall in 3.4 years. There's no other way for Ethan's character to go unless he continues down the path of the ignorant. His lines to Gwen "You're wonderful...you're my rock..." just prove how in the dark this character is...which makes all his feelings and rantings, though sincere, seem a mockery. No one cares if Ivy dies because "we" all know what she is. Ethan ranting looks understandable but still stupid since he knows absolutely nothing.

He truly speaks from the ass...on a phone.

However...keep Eric in the coat. He looks great in the coat.

If I have to hear Gwen say one more time "You'll never have to find out" what it would be like to not have her....I will have to kick my TV.

Please....I want to find out what it would be like without her! Humor me JER.

Isn't it funny how a scene can shift (rofl. I typed 'shit' the first time. Must be a Fruedian slip.) from one major area to another?

I completely see where Ethan's coming from. I mean, I can understand his pain. Whether he's in the dark or not, while it may be laughable, it's definitely understandable.

I do feel like these scenes, no matter how utterally depressing and vomit-enducing they can be, are proving a point. Each time, Ethan has to reassure Gwen. Gwen proves herself to be a hypocrit. Gwen knows full well she's lying about something; keeping something from Ethan. Hopefully that's foreshadowing the inevitable downfall of Gwen.

I do hope though that Ethan's in for a major fall. It doesn't have to be Gwen at this point, although how nice it would be, but I truly hope it's Ivy. I feel like it's going to be because they are making it a point to state that Ethan will never forgive her if he finds out. Remember when they kept saying that months before his supposed paternity came out? I feel like that's on the rise again.

I also like to think that Ethan's going to learn a thing or two... when it comes to some stuff about Theresa. Not in a bad way, but that most of it is not of her own fault. After all, Dustin did confirm Bruce's return. Let's just hope some good stuff comes out about it.

And yes, bring back Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald!
