from memory about 4 weeks - much longer than finches and the like 'cause they can go flat out from day 1 so need to develop in the egg for that bit longer. If you are losing them you might need to change the cock bird over as, unfortunately, he is usually the problem. In the past my best rearing pairs had excellent males and one male used to round up his AND EVERYBODY ELSES chicks and rear the lot. I had males that killed chicks and simply removed them as Craig suggests but the best rearers are cock birds. Good luck.
