I just got a gibson chanter about 2 weeks ago. Its greatly fun. But my girlfriend wants to start talking lessons too but she doesnt have the money to get a chanter, and now i don't either.
My chanter has large holes that are the same size as the real pipes and i think it makes it a lot easier to play and when ya get the real pipes it would probably make it easier.

So i looked on ebay for gibson chanters and found none. It must be a relatively small company. They do have a nice website though.

So does anyone know a well respected company that makes chanters with the full size holes? One that would be on ebay?

Thanks.
Oh, and on a side note... What company makes the best electronic bagpipes?
thanks again

You probably won't find what you're looking for on Ebay. Your best bet may be to look for a used chanter (nothing wrong with those) through a local band. But, that's not to say that it's not worth continuing to look on Ebay.

You might look at Dunbar for a less expensive chanter.

As far as electronic pipes, are you referring to electronic pipes or electronic practice chanter? Ross and Deger make the electronic pipes and Fagerstrom (spelling?) makes a nice electronic practice chanter. I own a Fagerstrom and use it frequently. It does not, however, replace a practice chanter for developing stamina.
