一個人在作出選擇時，最少受到三項條件的影響，分別是知識、情感和意志。
你常說的分辨對錯，是學理的問題，屬知識的層面。
你能分辨對錯，但不一定會對的便做，錯的便不做，那多半是情感牽累。
明知是大錯，決心改過，但不久又故態復萌，那便屬意志的範疇。

同學間罵戰的源頭，堂主已指出過，是意氣之爭多於真理的明辨，即是自己以為是在尋真，其實只是在鬥氣；這便是知、情之間的矛盾。

因此，指引學生「分辨」是非已是相當困難；要求學生「心悅誠服」地遵仁由義那是更難；再要求學生「終生堅持」遵仁由義，那是難上加難。

你試用「如何纔可以成功教導學生不講粗口」為題，思考一下我上述的說話吧。
古人說：「十年樹木，百年樹人。」是不無道理的。
