Not as if he wasn't already over the edge in another sense. But death-defying blood had its advantages and with no heaviness to his feline landing, he gained the top step once more with a panther strength and swiftness, silently without a snarl, outraged beyond words, slamming against his lover, his enemy, fangs flashing for the ivory neck.
