Subject: Catalina AH530 209 Squadron 1941

I am particularly interested in the history of my great uncle Flt Lt E A Jewiss. He was in 209 Sq. when in August 1941 he was involved in the capture of U570, the first U boat captured in WW2.

He was awarded the DFC but was killed flying out of Pembroke dock in December that year. I have a great deal of information and documentation regarding his service between 1919 and 1941 but still desire any further info plus more detail as to the crash in Catalina AH 530. Only two crew survived though seriously injured.

I will be very interested if this promotes any further interest or information

Thank you
Tim Cowen
