The new FBI & RIAA seal of disapproval will actually be a good thing for consumers like myself who like to boycott RIAA artists. I don't always do the research. It will be nice to go to a CD store and see which CDs not to buy. Ultimately, good for me, bad for the RIAA and its artists. It seems strange to bother the segment of people who are actually buying your product. There's a disturbing trend in the DVD movies that I buy these days to require you to watch the FBI warning. You can't fast-forward or skip it on many DVD players. I know it's illegal to copy movies, that's why I bought it! I'm now starting to consider not buying movies that try to wrest control of my player to force me to watch FBI warnings, trailers, or whatever else the studios feel is good for me. This type of badgering people who are already complying with copyright may in fact turn them to piracy. I wouldn't have thought of copying these things if they hadn't mentioned it & could sure use your advice on how to easily copy & edit that crap out of my movies. Of course, the CD warning hopefully won't be as bad, if it doesn't actually interrupt the music, but is just a small badge on the liner. Of course, the liner is again the one part of the CD the pirates won't see anyway. But if they start putting FBI warning audio tracks on my CDs....
