It's such a difficult question, to go to war or not, but the argument for not going, has now been lost. The only thing I'm happy about, if you could call it that, is that a murderer of half a million of his own people, is now in the process of being disposed of, and good ridance. There will be the inevitable power vacum after this is all over, with all the different groups locked in a power struggle. The one thing I will say is that the US and UK must pull out straight after and let the UN take over. I believe there is a strong possibility that the UN will colapse if it is not allowed the major role in the reconstruction of Iraq.
The US cannot be involved in any new government, as even if is was the best thing since sliced bread, it would be tainted in the majority of peoples eyes.
As far as terrorism goes it's something you get used to, and you don't even think about it. Without sounding too harsh, Irish Americans gave huge amounts of cash to the IRA, without even thinking about the consequences. I can't go on with this as I may upset too many people who I really like. I heard the last three bombs of the IRA go off in London so I can speak from experience. The best security systems in the world will not stop terrorists. To have any chance of stopping them the country would cease to function.
