We threw it back 12 years ago. But you are wrong about the comparison.
The difference is that in Iraq there is organized opposition on the ground
ready to consolidate power. There was no one in Germany who wanted to
organize an Islamic state, or any equivalent, loyal to a foreign power,
namely Saudi Arabia, who are better organized and prepared than we.
So the more we win the more we lose in Iraq.

Why should any country entrust its young people to the leadership of the same
morons who *invaded the wrong country*? Answer: For lots of money. The U.S.
is broke, a poor credit risk, and stiffed "partners" in the first Gulf War.
==============
Our President is leading us down the financial road of no return,
while at the same time patting the backs of all the mothers whose sons
and daughters are offered as sacrificial lambs.......All of this for
what.
President Bush continues to lie about the weapons of mass destruction,
and the connection between Osama Bin Laden and Sadaam. None of these
things have been proven. He lied to the United Nations, to the
American people, and now that things have gotten out of hand, he runs
with his tail between his legs to the United Nations for help.
While I respect the Presidency, I do not have respect for this
President. Too much American blood has been shed to actualize his
agenda.
Peace is better than aggression.

That is not true.
The President has not attended a single funeral. Plenty of soldiers
have been buried at Arlington recently. It's a little more than a
stone's throw across the Potomac.
Hell, this weekend they had a funeral for Spc. Dent in his hometown of
Washington D.C. only 5 miles from the White House.
The President didn't even send flowers or condolences. To be fair, old
habits die hard. I mean, if George had attended the funeral of every
black man he killed in Texas as governor, he would have had little
time left for anything else.
When they bury Dent at Arlington next week, I hope they will have the
good taste to change the text of what they say when they offer the
flag to his grieving parents. To be honest they should say, "On behalf
of a mournful nation and an indifferent President..."
==============
Isn't it the job of Vice-Presidents attend
funerals? Of course, since these are *military*
funerals Cheney might be unfamiliar with the lingo.
"I had other priorities than serving in the military"
Dick Cheney, regarding his multiple draft deferments.
The men who were drafted in his place could not be
reached regarding whether THEY had "other priorities"
in their lives.
