While I can't say anything with certainty without seeing it myself, I'd say: Yep, sounds like "rings of fire"... you can count her previous fills like the rings in a tree! Any improper filing, either by hand or by drill will cause them. Some techs get a little too overzealous in their attempts to bevel the cuticle area outgrowth flush with the natural nail, and also because some techs mistakenly think that the natural nail needs to be "roughed up" before acrylic application.
