I would think that ash would be great to smoke with but how the hell do you light it.

My charcoal makes tons of ash but it all drops to the bottom, I have tried to light the grey powdery residue but I`ll be a monkeys uncle if I can get that stuff to light.......I usually just end up getting frustrated and just scoop it all out and dispose of it under the cedars........rich in nutrients that stuff.....
